Came home to find the wall closing off the staircase from the 2nd to the 3rd floors is now gone!  Hooray!  Once I get some spindles the same thing can happen from the 1st to 2nd floors.  That will open the space up nicely, and get rid of some of the boxiness and claustrophobia ( Read more... )

You know what I particularly enjoy about taking these 4 day weekends? That I don't have to cram ALL my errands into one day; I can do some one day, others later. That takes the pressure off.

I took Friday off. I'm glad I had it scheduled after the week I've had; everything being held in check by Mercury retrograde kicked loose and hit at once. I'm taking Monday off, too; I will enjoy that greatly. Nothing like a 3 day week (remember, Friday is July 4th; most of us will be off - sorry to those of you who work retail ( Read more... )
